My name is Alen Pichurin, I am 30 years old and I live in new York. I am a regular guy with a goal to make $1 Million Dollars just by asking for followers to sponsor my pixels for $1 per pixel. I  know that I can do something fun and make more money doing it. So I figured let me set a goal for myself to make $1 Million Dollars within 12 months and donate half of it to charity. This way I can make some money for myself and actually make a difference in this world all at the same time, and $1 Million Dollars should do the trick.

The idea is simple. I will attempt to make $1 Million Dollars within 12 months by selling pixels on my website. Each pixel is $1 Dollar, there are 1,000,000 pixels on my website which I will sell to sponsors and in return I will give them the ability to display their image (company logo or an individual’s photo or graphic) with the Name, Message and link that you can click through to the sponsors Website, MySpace, Twitter or Facebook page.

Everyone is welcome to buy as many pixels as they would like as long as they are still available. The smallest amount of pixels that you can purchase is 100 (10x10 block) and the reason for this is; anything smaller would be too small to notice.

Whether you are sponsoring for business, personal use or for fun, you are donating to charity all while getting your name out there and owning a piece of internet history while it is being made.

On March 11th 2011 I thought to myself “there’s got to be a better, more exciting and interesting way to make money. There’s got to be a fun and exciting way to do it, all while giving back and enjoying the ride”. I started brainstorming, looked online for inspiration and found exactly what I was looking for and quickly began jotting down ideas and concepts that all started coming together.

That same day I declared to 4 of my colleagues that I was going to make $1 Million Dollars within 12 months and I wasn’t joking about it either. Well I decided that I will need about 2 months of prep time and 12 months to reach my goal.  I did not know how I was going to do it; I just knew that I was going to do it. The rest just started coming together and The Million Dollar Website Project was born.

Why Not? It’s a nice round figure and gives me a set goal. I figure $1 Million Dollars should do the trick. The other thing is that I always wanted to give back and never had a real chance of doing it, so I decided that I will donate half of all of the proceeds made on my website from selling pixels to charity.
